Now, the fun part is that I'm not sure if casting the spell (normally, assuming not an Initiate of Mystra) 'refreshes' the 3rd level domain slot. Or does the cleric have to wait for a day to get that spell-slot back in order to cast it?

If it refreshes, there's an added benefit of being able to effectively have multiple wizard spells cast in a given day, you just have to spend 15 minutes refreshing the spell-slot.

Interesting idea.

What was the hotline for rules questions to wizards again?

Hmm... actually it should be possible to use it like that...

Because otherwise the spell would be useless to begin with (preparing Anyspell as 3rd level domain spell, then casting it, already empties the slot for the day, but it obviously can be used again... with the then prepared wizard spell).

Not so... there is a regional feat to give you all the martial weapons at 1st level.

That will work too, of course, but is limited to those specific regions in the Forgotten Realms then.

So basically, as it stands there, the Initiate of Mystra can prepare Anyspell as a regular cleric spell, then cast it, and during the process prepare a suitable wizard spell into her 3rd level domain slot.

So a Cleric may prepare a few Anyspells with their regular spells but may only have one Arcane spell prepared in their 3rd lvl (or 6th for greater anyspell) Domain slot at any one time (i.e. per encounter heh). I thinks I got it.
