OMG!!!!! I am so excited now! I really hope that they don't screw it up though. It would be tragic to change something so wonderful into something so.....Hollywood. :(
 

Oh ugh

Then again, I am not a fan of musicals. I went to see this one and, other than the falling chandelier, was unimpressed.
 


Saw it in San Francisco several years ago. A friend of mine who is big on it loaned me the album for a week before going to see it, so I could hear the music. Like most modern musicals, I was unimpressed with the music. I find that most musicals nowadays rely on gimmicks rather than on particularly good music, but again that is a personal taste.

Most people seemed to enjoy the performance.

For me, I'll stick to Gilbert & Sullivan -- that's about as close as I get to liking a musical, and there it is primarily for the silly stories :)

You should see Little Shop of Horrors if you like funny musicals instead of serious ones.
