PHB II in March?

It does say divine. That kind of sucks though because I thought that the sorcerer was going have the Elemental power source. sigh.

I don't think you should be so disheartened. The specualtion for a while now has been that Sorcerer would in fact be in the Primal power source.

Also, dont forget the leaked 8 first initials of the new classes of PH2...

D, B, B, S, I, W, T, something. 3 of which are brand spanking new never before seen classes. Which means 5 of them are classes from previous editions.

My picks are...
Druid - Primal hybrid
Bard - Arcane Leader (but he may show up in DDI before the PH2)
Barbarian - Primal Defender
Illusionist - Arcane Controller
Sorcerer - Primal Controller

Well over at the Forgotten Realms forums Rich Baker let it slip that the FRCG will mention bards, barbarians, druids and gnomes in anticipation of the PHB II

Oooh, he did? That makes more sense, because I thought he'd said 5 new, 3 old, which did seem a little interesting, to say the least. Seems more reasonable and your picks seem likely.

I think the other letter was another S, no? Shamans are pretty much confirmed for this, and presumably are a Primal Leader, indeed, I'd be unsurprised if Mrs Spiritwolfs on the cover is a Shaman.

WotC already confirmed (more than month back) that Sorcerors will be ARCANE Controllers. The Primal theories are out.

Has there been any word since the preview books about Illusionists' power source? Because, back then, they were leaning toward Shadow, which would be bad news for anyone wanting to see them in PHB2.

I'm sorry, I thought it was the opposite: 3 are old, 5 are brand spanking new...

Mearls later corrected his statement, saying that three are new and the other five are old classes or concepts (source, obtained from the very handy compiled information thread).

There seems to be little doubt that the Bard, Barbarian, Druid, Sorcerer, and Shaman are the five returning classes, which means the Illusionist is especially unlikely to be that "I" class.
