Okay, now you guys are just talking crazy! Next thing you know, somebody'll suggest having weapons that have an ability to store spells in them!
Those other ideas weren't too out there. But this? Blasphemy!

It'd be great if there was a class that could channel spells through its weapons. Something like that, I'd call a Dawnblade, or maybe a Duskblade, something like that ;)

You have always been able to use shocking grasp since the 70's if you had a metal conductor and hit with your sword, you have always been able to release the charge into the target.

Blade of Blood lasts for 1 rd/lvl whether 1d6 or 3d6 until a successful hit. Shocking grasp is not in the blade but the charge is stored in you the caster. Strike an opponent with your sword and the weapon does its damage and Blade of Blood and releasing the shocking grasp. Under this you have to hit their AC rather than their touch AC.

With the Dusk blade it is moreefficient to cast the Blade of Blood and then the next round Arcane channel the shocking grasp. If you took the 5 hp damage, at 5th level, that is 1d8 +strength/magic+3d6 BoB+5d6 shocking grasp. That is about 35-40 points on an attack. Powerful but not a game breaker.
