I never heard how the core books ended up on the USA Today, WSJ, NYT, etc. lists at their peaks. Anyone have any info on this?

I check Amazon's sales ranking numbers periodically. The D&D core book set just moved back into the top 1,000. PHB2 was in the top 20 at one point (maybe higher). It's hovering around 100 right now.

Wonder how long it takes the naysayers to come in and start the diatribe about how 4e is failing?

OMG, only #4? WE'RE DOOMED! Jettison the women and children, load the animals in the catapults, shake up all the soft drinks and prepare for a long siege!! ;)
