PHBII: Dragon Shaman

Another Base class from the PHBII -- Do we want them, and should we limit their region of origin to Argonessan?

These guys are one of the only base classes that I think are almost too weird for my home campaign, but they actually do make sense in Eberron from a very narrow region. I'd accept them and limit them, as you've suggested.

Keith Baker has some suggestions on where dragon shamans might come from, and I don't disagree. Kobolds, for example, make a clear example of non-Argonessen dragon shamans. However, I agree that a general Khovaire citizen would not become a DS.

Many of the peoples that Keith mentions in that article work well, though the cult of Sovereigns feel a little off to me. The point about alignment is valid though as dragons are not restricted to alignment in Eberron, neither should dragon shamans (or half-dragons).

I think the kobold extension should also apply to the lizardfolk of Q'barra.

I'm all for leaving it a bit more open, but I can understand wanting some restrictions.

I haven't found anything objectionable about the DS yet.
