Pinned opponent? Can I use them as a shield?

Here is the situation. I am running Rappan Athuk for my high level group. We are pretty strict to the rules as written, but I do have a bit of wiggle room when needed for story...

The group has run across a 14th level fighter vampire, who has dominated one of the female PC's in the group. After commanding her to approach him, he has bit her and is sucking. So, there is some CON damage here. Now, to do this, the vampire has to have pinned her opponent. I've given a secondary save here at the thought of being pinned by the vampire, just because, but she failed. So, I'm pinning.

I pictured this scenario as the vampire grabbing her from behind, biting the neck, and pulling her into a corner. The vampire's back is in the corner and the character is in front of him. He has her by the torso, whatever, and I want her to be a shield. Essentially, she is in-between and providing cover.

By the rules, is this possible?

Now this a story all about how
The rules got twisted, turned upside down
And I would like to take a minute
Just sit right there
I'll tell you how you how to grapple
And wrestle with flair

Under combat maneuvers
Listed and detailed
In sections and subheadings is where it's been regaled
Typed up, formatted, organized neatly
Pinning rules been written up amply
Once you've begun a pin
There's a few options
You can disarm the fool, steal his stuff
Or shut him up and make him yield
But you can't pull him straight
And use him for cover as a shield!

On the other hand, since we're talking 3.0/3.5, and you're pinning someone, and therefore in a grapple, there's a random chance that any ranged attack against you will actually hit her, and vice-versa.

The exact odds are, unfortunately, left as an exercise for the reader.

I swear, I am permanently disabled from giving Dandu more experience...

V=Vampire
If your V can muster up ridiculously high grapple check, at least 20 higher then the girl V is grappling, V can grapple without being grappled, and can drag the grappled PC along (assuming V can drag the weight). This lets V threaten area as normal, and V would not lose her Dex bonus to AC. V would then be able to use the grappled PC as if they were an object, and could use the PC for cover (like an unwieldy shield), while simultaneously applying any special abilities that take effect while grappling and having the option of attacking/dealing damage to, the person she is grappling. Obviously this kind of thing is extremely difficult of anything other then a colossal creature or something like a Marilith to do.
