pinpointing invisible opponents

And to clarify this a bit further, you still suffer the 50% miss chance when you attack the invisible creature.
Right. ..and that's a big pain, lemme tell ya.

If this sort of attacker becomes an issue, consider purchasing an item that allows you to cast See Invisible on yourself 1/day. I should cost (2 * 3 * 1800gp *1/5) 2160gp, so long as it's in an appropiate body slot. It's money well spent.

And just to be a bit pedantic, that is the value calculated by the formula. A DM could up the price if she wanted to (as a utility surcharge like the ring of invisibility).

Personally i'd probably go to 2500gp or so because it becomes more versatile (you could hand it around for the rogue, ranger or wizard to use if needed for example) as an item.

Or trained dogs - they have the scent feat and are able to notice the presence of invisible creatures, home in on a direction and tell their exact square when within 5ft IIRC, so trained dogs can be (surprise suprise) excellent for tracking down invisible fugitives or fighting invisible foes.

Nothing, unless you stop your movement in his square. Then you are forced to move to an adjacent square.
I can walk through his square without knowing there is something there and without him getting an AoO?

The invisible could indeed take an AoO....which might cancel his invisibility (depending on the power's source). If the invisible opponent remains invisible, you probably can argue that you now know what square he's in (barring reach attacks).

The invisible creature may also let you pass, so you'd never know he's there.

How will that help?
"Environmental clues".

Think about it....is the flour invisible? What could you do with the flour, given an invisible creature is nearby.......?

Sounds a bit silly that a 4th level spell can be so easily countered with mundane means.
The spell's description states that items in the invisible creature's possetion also become invisible, so wouldn't the flour become invisible upon contacting the invisible creature? That would enable me to pinpoint it anyway...
