Since I presume that the parrot can't functionally dive into the water, he'll keep picking up crab pieces and throwing them in the water to keep the shark away while someone else dives.

Desiree wasn't sure if he should hunt sharks first or gather loot. He decided that gathering loot would be better while the sharks were busy with the chum.

"Do we have ropes? Give me a couple."

He untied as ropes as were available and, grabbing one end, dove into the water towards the treasure. He'd tie a barrel so that people could pull it up.

((OOC: the idea is to dive, tie as many ropes as he can while he's down there and then pull up all the barrels he's tied in one go.))

((OK, let's call that a DR15 test -- you're doing a lot of athletic things underwater while trying to both not attract the sharks and also get back up before you run out of air. My inclination is to say it's a Toughness check, but I'm open to arguments to use a different stat instead.))

Baustista says, "Os espíritos irão protegê-lo." and begins an incantation in Desiree's direction.

Despite the cloudless sky, the shadow of a cloud appears passes over the ship. In the momentary gloom, an elderly fisherman, his eyes sharp and his wiry arms still strong, leans over the side of the vessel, keeping one eye on the sharks and another on Desiree. When the cloud passes, the figure vanishes from sight, but everyone can still sense that he's there, protecting Desiree.

((Desiree has the benefit of an extra level of armor for one hour.))

((Sorry for the delay. @TaranTheWanderer, can you give me a DR15 Toughness check?))
