Pirate Borg: Buried in the Bahamas

Desiree "The Leperchaun" Groves
HP: 11/14 Luck 1d2;
Equipment: 2 portions of rum; 4 portions of water

Desiree was proud of how the work was going. Fishing out barrels and using them on the bottom would work well to keep their raft buoyant. Like a pontoon boat. He was planning to save mounting the sail until morning so that they could hunker down under it for the night, lest it rain. He started getting to work on that part.

"Hey, Parrot! What's your name? You know any good shanties?"

"I'm all fer finding it. Who's with me? What about you, yeh stupid bird?? Polly wanna come find some treasure? Come sit on my shoulder as is proper!" He didn't remember there being a parrot on the ship but he'd always wanted a talking bird.
Stupid?! Sir, check your tongue! I won't be insulted! Know that I'm..., hmm..., my name is... no matter, it will come to me soon enough.

The Parrot preens and then starts cawing horribly. After a short while, he shuts up, much to the relief of anyone within earshot.

He then quickly takes flight circling around aimlessly for a while. (Does he see anything?)

((I'm back! Hell week is over!))

From the air, the Parrot confirms much of what those poor schmucks who can't fly see: The island is frustratingly bare of trees, and is sand held together by grass. Turtles nest on the island, as do those irritating morons, seagulls, and island snakes that seek to prey on them both.

The things that parrots normally like to eat -- seeds, fruit, flowers and nuts -- are in short supply, but there are a few species of insects to survive on, for a while. But he'll be hungry much of the time, and those snakes look like the type that would like to make the acquaintance of any parrot sleeping on the ground.

Safari is content with his reconnaissance tour. He gestures to the others.

"I think we should gather our party before venturing out. Now we have a gist of the layout of the island, and if the ... boat ... barge ... thing ... floats, we might be able to sail it to the other camp to see what we can scrounge up there."

He sighs and looks longingly at the rising smoke coming from Port Nelson.

Bautista points on the map, then points out to sea in the direction of the islands. He says just one word, "pirates" as he points in the direction of Rum Cay. He points in the direction of Yuma and simply shrugs.
