Pirate Borg: Buried in the Bahamas (recruiting one more crew member and waitlisting)

WIP: going to hammer down some of the finer details.
There are page numbers regarding background and stuff, which I don't have, if you don't mind posting some of the mechanics behind them?

The character generator is fun! I just clicked on it until I found one that was interesting, if that's ok. Otherwise, I can generate one from scratch and post dice rolls.

Background: Sailior

He was born on a vessel and sailing is in his blood.

Howdy, crew! This is Safari Catcloghe, the aggressive cook of the party! And oh yeah, I've got a pet monkey.

I would be interested in joining, if it is still possible. I've never played any of the "Borg" games, but I am quite curious about them.
Absolutely. That brings us to five.

Six pirates at a time is I think the practical biggest limit, but every time I've run this adventure, at least one character has died and pbp games tend to have some attrition, so there should be further openings even after we have six people.

It's pretty simple: Just roll 2d6 and multiply that by 10 pieces of silver. You make up whatever reason you needed to go to sea. (Most of the backgrounds have roleplay hooks.)

Backgrounds mostly come into play when they might give you a bonus on rolls or a chance to automatically know something. Your character knows how to do all the basic stuff aboard a ship, which a barkeep or a writer, for instance, might not.
