@SlyFlourish, have you played a Borg game yet? Pirate Borg especially, with its copious tables to quickly generate scenarios and villains, seems right up your alley.

I have honestly considered getting Foundry just to play Pirate Borg. I've been very impressed by everything on the Patreon and even just the default module.

Subscribing at lower tiers you still get great static maps you can use in any VTT, including in Foundry to build your own scenes. Tons of other resources too. I often use Limithron’s Assets pack in other rpg worlds in Foundry to dress up maps.

Edit: any insight on the DungeonDraft asset packs?

I have DungeonDraft but alas, haven’t messed around with it much. The same assets can be used as tiles in Foundry, and I do use them there a fair amount.
