First Post
Piratecat seems to be the Joey Crawford of the Enworld. Joey Crawford is an NBA referee whom has been labeled for frequently calling fouls and techs for petty and minor things.

At first I just thought it was a coincidence, but I've witnesses half a dozen threads shut down for either mild infractions or because Piratecat "felt" like things could get out of hand.

Its very annoying and I think the last post, talking about the statue of mary jane, really seemed petty. I am getting accustomed to looking at my recent threads and once I see piratecat's name figuring that it is probably shut down, and behold, it always is. I"m not sure what can be done about it, but I think the moderators should be instructed on what to look for specifically when shutting down a thread.

This seems like a fantastic time to share one of the rules! As linked from the top of every forum...

The Rules said:
2) If you really, really disagree with a moderator's position on a [moderating] issue, please don't argue about it on the boards. That means no calling out of moderators, no challenging their decisions in the thread, and certainly no attempts to go over a moderator's head. The moderators all discuss such things amongst themselves, and no moderator or admin is ever going to override another. If you honestly feel that you have been treated unfairly, please contact the moderator in question privately and discuss it with them. The end result may not be the one you were seeking, but we will do our our best to be fair.
I'm sorry you don't agree with my decision about the Mary Jane thread. As always, I'd love to discuss it with you by email (available by clicking on my user name, and linked from the top thread here in Meta). This isn't the place to discuss it, though.

When you do email me, it'd be great if you could give me links to the half a dozen threads. Many thanks in advance.
