Piratecat writes new book, world on hold!

A new creature collection huh? That will be nice (sound of my money flowing into S&S's coffers). I wonder how close my unoffical list of monster origins gets to the official version.

Not quite sure but I have a strong feeling/suspicion Scott Greene worked on this. Either him or Clarke. Like I said, I just know they are fixing things up and streamlining CC1.

I really would like to see these new class books too. While classes are an out-of-game concept i don't think enough is done to talk about the in-game perception of them.

True, especially since they were talked about in the FRCS, which I feel the SLCS is equal to in some ways. We'll just have to wait and see after 2003.

Even things like spell progression tables (which apply to everyone from humans to dragons to hags in a totally inflexible and measurable way) have never been addressed to my satisfaction.
(not that the world exists to satisfy me, but a boy can have hope...)

Well I'm sure it can satisfy PARTS of your interest Grraf. Otherwise you wouldn't be here! ;) But as for spell progression tables, no real idea if that will be changed. (Doubt it since then it would no longer be d20. )

As for the re-release of the first Creature Collection how will we be able to tell it apart from the old one, new cover???

Well I have no idea if there will be new cover but it WILL read "Creature Collection Revised". So I kind of doubt it will confused with the first CC.

Do you know the release date for the revised book?

Joseph said in his interview with Ian Watson, that it's slated for 2003. I don't know EXACTLY when in 2003, but I believe he said Spring, so we might see it before March, maybe.

Whoops, sorry for the silence! I've been trying to finish my piece up, and i'm really hesitant to violate the NDA. As far as I can tell, though, this is going to be cool. :D

Just tell me this, did you make some Pr-classes PC for Sorcerer?
And can you just mention the kind of bloodlines you are using. (Nothing specific just like Demonic Bloodline, Dragon Blood line etc.)

Of course it's going to be cool. :) You have me promoting it! ;) Plus you do good work, and I'm sure you, Ethan Skemp and Mike Gill are great guys and good authors.

Oh and I'm sorry but the interview states it will be some time in January 2003, not Spring. My mistake!

NDA's

Nightfall said:
I have a feeling the NDA is pretty binding. I know the guys that signed it for R&R2 had a few gripes about it. But most everyone stopped griping when they sent in their submissions.

The NDA's at White Wolf are really binding, violate one and *poof* there goes your soul and first born child. ;) Seriously though everyone at White Wolf is pretty seroius about the NDA, they like to keep control over when information about a product is announced. And if you violate one they probably won't even take Legal action, instead they will just put your name on a list of people who are never hired again. Trust me I am darn carefull about not violationg one of those things.
