Plains Indian adventures

"Ghost Dance" by David Howery is definitely worth checking, as are his other adventures that appeared in Dungeon. Even though they're all nominally set in Greyhawk, they are not your standard medieval European fanstasy setting. My favorites are those set in Hepmonaland, near Fort Thunder ("The Elephant's Graveyard," "The Leopardy Men," "Rogue," and "The Land of Men with Tails").

You can use most of this adventure, along with the supplementary article on culture: http://paizo.com/pathfinder/adventurePath/35E/curseOfTheCrimsonThrone/v5748btpy82u9

It's fairly yoinkable, so don't worry about it being part of an adventure path.
I love Paizo's NPCs and set pieces, so even if I can't use most of the adventure this should be worth mining for ideas.

As always, we love feedback. Any comments, criticisms, undeserved praise, et cetera can be sent to mark at spesmagna dot com.

I am absolutely going to use the baykok, it's a terrific monster.

There's a new Native American articles in Dragon. Including in Dragon #205. There's an article by David Howery called the People.

There's stats for a wendigo in the 3e FF too. There's some stuff in GURPS Old West too. I don't have the book here at work.
