Can you help me with this spell ? i know that you can call in a ''trap'' outsiders including devils and elementals in order to do you a service. A succubus' services could prove useful , but what about an earth elemental for example ? Suppose i call one (i am allowed according to the spell description) , how can i communicate with it ? And if there is a way, can i say that the service required to set it free, is to help me with some other encounters ?

In case of an earth elemental the language would be Terran.
But you can cast tongues in front of the planar binding if you are not sure.

After you have lured the creature into the trap you ask it to do one service in return for it's freedom. You can bribe or offer some other reward to make your request attempt easier. After that you roll an opposted charisma check and if you win the creature will perform that task at it's best abilities.

I don't really understand what you mean with "some encounters".
Obviously you can ask for just one favor. But that could be anything, from fight those people to bring this to him or more complex, use your abilities and go through the earth in the next room and describe it to me afterwards.

I guess that he means is if he can command the outsider to journey alongside the party and help out in encounters. If so, what might be a good guideline for pricing (eg: 1 favour ~ how many encounters before it considers its deed fulfilled?).

In the spell description , it is mentioned that an open-ended task can be assigned to the creature and i thought of a service such as ''protect me'' or something which is close to this.
