Planar books

It's really spiffy and I've been pondering who among the authors did each chapter, just based on topic, theme and writing style.

It would be fun to see the final analysis you (or anyone else who wants to try) could come up with. If you wanted, I could tell you if you were right. That said, I don't want to hijack the thread.

Well can I guess which ones you did Monte? ;)

*And I doubt it's much of a hijack especially since we are talking about BCD, a book ABOUT the planes. :D*

I'll look back over it this week and make some guesses. I'm pretty sure I can pin down which ones you did and which ones Colin did.

Ok, I'll bite and probably be horribly wrong on most of these.

But I'm guessing that you wrote: Tevaeral (chap 16), Ouno (chap 12), Dendri (chap 6), and Deluer (chap 5). I'm also guessing that Colin wrote the Violet (chap 18), Palpatur (chap 13), the Maze (chap 10), and Curnorost (chap 4).

I'm just going off of the tone and style from each of your previous books that I've read and the content of each of those chapters compared to previous material. Watch me be very, very wrong here.

Wolfgang did Ouno.

Dendri (chap 6),

Ray did Dendri.

and Deluer (chap 5). I'm also guessing that Colin wrote the Violet (chap 18), Palpatur (chap 13),

Ray also did Palpatur. ;)

Don't know about the rest, but those ones (and a few others) were discussed in Pkitty's interview.

Rumor has it that there was a flash movie with all the credits on Monte's site.

On another note, over on the "Dozen [BLANK]" ideas thread, Phil unveiled that next week there will be a series of planar faction PDFs by Mouseferatu. (WOOT!)

The Planar Factions series includes:

The Eternal Flame, an order devoted to rooting out all evil, yet hiding the most foul evil of all.

The Gur-Tannan, violent fanatics who have enslaved or destroyed whole worlds, in their quest to make their god the only god.

The Midnight Dawn, despised necromantic knights who protect the living by using the dead to battle evil.

The Mythmakers, who offer to make anyone a hero for the right price.

The Obsidian League, a multi-dimensional merchant’s guild with sufficient riches to buy and sell whole nations.

The Poison Tide, a faction of undersea creatures who would see all the inhabitants of dry land, in all the worlds, swept beneath the rising waves.

The Silent Hand and the Risen Legion, a hidden cabal and a mercenary army who seek to forestall the Apocalypse itself.

The Steadfast Order of the Shapers of Earthen Splendor, a gentleman’s secret society who seek mathematical precision in all things, and whose strange lore and magics suggest they’re well on their way to finding it.

The Twice-Born, who seek to reverse extinction itself.

The Twilight Empire, before whom all mundane thieves’ guilds pale.

The Vault of Souls, a religious sect that believes in nothing more strongly than the sanctity of death, and hunt down all who have cheated the Reaper.

The Wild Hunt, a sportsman’s club who will guide anyone on the hunt for any creature—no matter how rare, how dangerous, or how innocent.

The best part is, all of these are finished and will be out next week. No long waiting required.

Tevaeral--right!
Ouno--no, sorry.
Dendri--no, sorry.
Deluer--right!
Violet--nope.
Palpatur--no
The Maze--right!
Curnorost--nope, sorry.

Pretty good, but not quite there. For a few, Colin was deliberately writing "against type," so that probably made it hard. I don't know if this will help, but he wrote four planes, Ray wrote two, Wolf wrote three and I wrote nine, as well as the first and last chapters.
