Planetouched Questions

Fenris

In reading the MM I saw that planetouched can apply to any race and that the two given examples are humans with either celestial blood (Aasimar) or fiendish blood (Tiefling). What about other races that are planetouched. Are there any rules for them? What abilities do they have? Aasimar + racial? Any are there any special names for them? Thanks.

Fey'ri, from elves and demons.

Those are from Monsters of Faerun, for the record, as are tanarukk (orc/demon) and draegloth (half-drow, half-demon).

There's a dwarf (or is it duergar?)/demon hybrid in one of the books too, but its name escapes me.

You could use the celestial template or something. Maybe someone already created a Planetouched template....

MM2 also has two Planetouched that descend from chaotic and lawful outsiders, respectively.

Are those the same as the ones from Dragon magazine? IIRC from the article, the chaotic was called "Cansin", had an effective Cha bonus, and could use Entropic Shield once per day...

I took the 'human' versions of planetouched and changed them from a race into a template. Similar to what Wizards did with the Skeleton template on their website. Our current campaign has a halfing tiefling, elf fire gensai, elf water gensai, and half-orc earth gensai. The gensai's are from the Forgotten Realms campaign setting. Dragon magazine (cannot remember which) put out more gensai templates for all of the elemental variaties, example: ooze, ash, lightning, smoke, dust, etc...

Basically I recommend making the planetouched templates ECL +1 and applying the template to whatever you want. Why can't you have a aasimar dog?

SheepLord,
Your template idea sounds great, but a human with the aasimar template is ECL +1, whereas aasimars as a race in the MM & DMG are ECL+0. And is your template based off the DMG stats?

They're Chaonds and can use Shatter 1/day. The lawful ones are Zenythri and have True Strike.

Chanods are descendants of Slaadi, and noone even has a guess what was involved in the creation of the Zenythri.
