I'll be there probably, but I won't have much stuff ready yet. I'm quite busy right now and haven't had the chance to make any progress on designing the fort and the Mittendeiners. I'll be working on it on Sunday and Monday, but dunno how much I'll have finished by then.

Just a reminder that the brainstorm session is tonight at 9PM CST (10 PM EST)

Also, I have been contacted by 8-10 new players interested in our site. The people are coming. All we have to do is run games to retain them now. This is a really good sign I believe.

Here is my idea for the first of the Druid adventures:

Rogue Bear (CR1)

A wild bear charges into the worker's camp and begins attacking workers. The PC's are present nearby and can respond if they wish.

Following this the commander of construction calls for the PC's to meet with him. He seeks to hire them to investigate where the bear came from. There are not enough men to spare in his garrison to do this on his own. He offers 1 week's pay to each (10 gp's) to find information about where the bear came from. It was noted that the bear arrived in the camp with injuries to its flanks.

Track the Bear (CR 1)

The bear's trail is easy to follow to a clearing about 1/2 mile away. DC 7 to track.

The clearing has tracks from goblins all around it. Several sharpened sticks with blood on the tips are also found. Searching the clearing will find:
DC5 - Tufts of bear fur
DC10 - Bloodied leather helmet
DC15 - Dagger with Wing emblem on tang (goblin dagger)
DC 20 - Small pouch containing 15gp, 17sp, crude map on piece of bark depicting main camp

DC10 to follow the goblin tracks deeper into the forest.

Goblin Advance Camp (CR 2)

Goblins of the Black Wing tribe are camped here. There is a small central fire with four small hide tents. A total of 12 goblins are here. They are armed with spears and slings. Several have daggers as well. Each wears hide armor, leather helmets and small wooden shields.

The encounter is only CR2 due to the relative ease of the PC's to achieve surprise. There are an additional 2 goblins injured in the tents from goading the bear. Their leader is a Warrior1. The last 4 goblins standing will flee in the face of a tough fight.

Searching the camp will reveal:
Arms for each defeated goblin
88gp, 125sp, 264cp
5 Bloodstones 50gp (1 per PC)
Map showing river bend camp
Deer hide with Black Wing clan symbols
Map of Fort and surrounding camp drawn on papyrus. DC 10 to see that it is drawn by different hand than other maps.

Report to Commander

The PC's have gained information about the bear's appearance. It would appear goblins drove it into the camp. The goblins have two maps in their possession, apparently drawn by two different people. One of these maps depicts the partially completed fort being built by the Mittendeiners. If they return to report at this point they should be awarded 150XP bonus each. In addition, the commander will give them a bonus of 50gp each.

Session 2 would deal with the hobgoblin faction. How would the baseline situation differ if the first adventure is a failure?

Em, I'm not sure I follow you.

I had envisioned that there would be two parallel three session mini-series adventures culminating in a combination 7th session bringing the triangular conflict between Mittendein-Druid-Hobgoblin factions to a head. With this assumption, the first session involving the Hobgoblin's forces can proceed with little input or interaction from that of the Druid arm of the series.

I would like to leave some clues in the second Druid session that there are other goblins out there who are not necessarily friend of the Druid's goblins. An introduction of conflict between these two groups would liven up the plot.

I plan to announce this game to take place on Saturday, Feb 21st.

Is there someone who can run the second adventure in the Druid arm of this series? I have some ideas and would like to discuss them with the DM for that adventure.
