Plant Abuse.. is that looney?

This is just a point of view IMO. If you plan to cook the dog and eat him, it's better to have him starve for a week before being thrown alive in the boiling pot of oil. (Not that I ever tried this recipe however... :heh: ) :D

I actually think there are cultures that do stuff simular to that. They starve a dog for a while. Then they will gorge it on rice. Finally they will beat the dog with sticks to make it bleed internally and mix with the rice. Then they can proceed with cooking the dog and eating the rice. Stuff like that is not my kind of thing, but if I did go to some other country that just ate dogs and cats I would probably try it just to see what it was like.(by try it I ment would just eat it, not beat the dog).

Plants aren't intelligent. They don't have nervous systems. They can't feel pain.

According to Walter Matthau in "The Couch Trip" they can. He had a recording of the trees of the rainforest screaming in pain. ;)

My wife and I were talking about this yesterday (don't ask why, I don't remember). She mentioned that she has purchased plants from places like schools which do plant sales, that come in this very same form.

So, it's quite possible that the person who bought these plants might have purchased them from a plant sale, and not realized what they had done.
