Need lots of description, and you need to get that from your players too. Also, I maybe be alone in this, but I see lots of games get screwed up by too many players to start. The two compound on each other: If you have poor description of a scene, or misinterpretation of a character's actions, and 6 players start jumping in with what they want to do - and THEN the DM starts saying "No you can't do that" - well, there goes a week of game.
