Play Name that Adventuring Company!

The bunch of misfits and malcontents that I DM for ... wait, that's a description of the characters, not the players ... could use a name for their adventuring company.

Any suggestions?

The ongoing story of their exploits is here.

The cast of disasters includes:

Timmay -- Face-gnome and mind-bender

Bartol -- Half-elven hillbilly with an anger management problem (played by EN World's own diaglo)

Bernadette -- Human call-girl elf groupie (played by the EN World mascot, Angelsboi)

Thane -- Tree-hugging pyromaniac

Erik -- Strong silent type who solves problems with four feet of steel

Alrissian -- Elf. Bow. Any questions?

The campaign has included a celebrity guest appearance by the Jester (aka Pepto, the pimpled pickpocket).

I haven't read the story hour yet, but when I do, I'll be sure to give a couple of suggestions (probably by tomorrow.)

Good ideas for names of Adventuring companies:

1) Name it after a prominent sword or item of it's de facto leader.

2) Name the company after a famous act that it performed.

3) Name it after a theme that seems to follow you, no matter what the adventure.

For instance, my favorite adventuring company I ever played in was "The Company of Nightfall's Favor." Since our characters met, we had a history of using cover of darkness (or cover of daylight when fighting nocturnal creatures) to minimize the disadvantage of numbers versus some of our tougher enemies. This name also worked well for my character who suggested it, a Halfling Fighter and follower of the goddess Selune. :)

Thus was born the company of Nightfall's favor, a company of 13 adventurers (!!!) who fought everything from lost colonies of degenerate Yuan-ti, to entire tribes of orcs and kobolds, and more than a few pirate ships.

No weapon and the party doesnt really have a leader. They'll ask the young, inexperienced mage just as they would ask the barbarian or fighter.

Famous act? We arent really known for all that much except killing orcs, ogres and hobgoblins. I mean, unless you call staying alive despite all odds a Famous Act.

A Theme?

Great. Chaos, Fire and Animals

Our group was named after a valuable item they found in early levels: a Golden Goblet worth 2000 gp. Instead of selling it, we keep it as a treasure at our mansion, and toast from it from time to time. Thus we're known as the Companions of the Golden Goblet. Really original, I know ;)

Well we really dont have anythign valuable. We saved Peldan's Helm from some Orcs, but Champions of the Helm doesnt have a good ring to it.

Our short gnomish friend Timmay suggest For The Right Price.

We did fight (and slay) our first dragon although it was made of all coins.
