Nice poll! Wait... That didn't sound right.

Since I hardly get to play I have a few drawings of my characters but not tons. If I were playing more than GMing I'd do more drawings.

I use the standard sheet. If I have a spell caster or a lot of extra spell casting abilities (like spell like abilities) i use seperate sheets of paper for that.

Durring the game I use a peice of scratch paper to keep track of HP's and stat modifiers.

I also make a background, which I give to the DM. I usually don't keep a copy on my person (though I have an e-version on my computer)

Oh man, that was too funny. Thanks Derek. I myself use a standard sheet with some scribbled notes and I usually have a pretty decent character background somewhere, but not with my sheet. I can't risk the other players seeing it!

I always make a character file in word with background, motivations, history (expanded into the campaign journal), important NPCs, scanned and colored sketches and stats (stats, skills, feats, spells, gear etc.). I usually add a customized character sheet to pencil the stats etc. in.

I for the most part don't; keep track at all. I mean I might look over the initial character sheet but after that. i hardly every look at my players character sheets. My players are honest, so after the initial roll up it is their character .

IME, the inclusion of artwork (portraits and sketches) is generally limited to those players who have spent a lot of time learning to draw. Anybody willing to spend the time can keep notes, write journals, and so on, but drawing takes skill well above and beyond those fo the "standard gamer". To me, that makes them seaparate issues.

Hmmm... This final push on schoolwork of yours has befuddled your mind, Umbran my friend. Images can be had from a vast amount of sources including books, magazines and the internet. Taking it a step further if you want something specifc and extremely detailed to your unique character and a commissioned picture can be had. And, of course, some folks build their characters up based on a picture they find. They can be a great source of inspiration for character concepts to try. :)

(How's the final push going, btw? Willl you being finished soon? :) )

Where's the "Stat block, ugly sketch, and a decent background" option?

Charles, good soul. It's a sliding scale from one to five and what you see are just examples to help someone gage where they might be. I'd up yours from the plain stat block by two notches in this case. So, by all means, up yours, please! :p

I kid! I kid because I love! :D
