Player powergaming: mea culpa

I am playing a character I never thought I would stoop down to play: a Sorceror Paladin.

I really like him. He's a Pal 2/ Sorc 8, Practised Spellcaster, and 3 draconic feats. I have a +6 Cha item and +5 prot cloak (no other items to speak of though, AC 18). It's kinda obscene when you come to think of it. I'm raining death from above (Draconic Flight) all the time, and the few times critters launch something at me, I make my save.

To add insult to injury, my next 5 levels will be in the Fatespinner PrC (CA).

That said, I did make an effort to make the whole a coherent thing. I play him as a descendent of dragons, his god is Bahamut, and I took the Draconic Breath feat just for flavor (my spells do more damage and are more efficient). So he's basically a holy arcanist of bahamut, human, but with golden hair (gold dragon heritage), forked tongue, and draconic eyes (slit pupils).

No matter what you guys will tell me, I still intend to play him, but I have to say I kept telling myself "cheese" while rolling him...

Have you considered going exalted arcanist? Looks like it would fit with the Bahamut bit and it'll add even more versatility.

My character isn't exalted quite yet. An exalted character has even more restrictions than a Paladin has. I'm not sure I want to play him like that.

Plus, I don't know if we'll be playing epic eventually. That's 7 levels already that will delay any epic sorceror levels. I don't want to shoot myself in the foot.

My name is Halivar, and I'm a powergamer. (All: hi, Halivar)

Make sure to don't forget to take Practiced Spellcaster from Complete Divine to make up for those two lost caster levels!

EDIT: Dangit. I never play arcanists, only divines. Oh well, a real power-gamer would ask his DM for an arcane equivalent to Practiced Spellcaster.

Re-read my first post: it's there.

It is in CA. Practiced Spellcaster works for both divines and arcanists.

Do you have a character concept rather than an arbitrary set of abilities? Yes. Are you enjoying running this PC? Yes. Are the other players enjoying playing their PCs in the game with yours? I assume yes.

If so, then all I will tell you is - game on! Cheese, forsooth!

Sorry. I didn't RTFOP. Now all you have to do to really powergame is go quest for a dire werebear to get bitten by. Celestial dire werebear, if possible.
