Player Problem

First Post
I have a player problem, not that the players are bad. Its just that I don't have enough players. I've got 3 players and I can't think of anyone in this small town to be another. So I need suggestions on how to get along with just 3 characters. I want to run CotSQ module, but I'm not sure I can with just 3, I though maybe I could gestalt them or maybe run a dm pc (which isn't something I want to do), or maybe I could just tell them to get along with 3 and don't have an arcane caster.

Are you close to any game stores or colleges/universities?

You could try to get some other friends interested.

I tried that but I would be a cleric and If i'm the cleric in an undead heavy module then I will be stealing the spotlight

You could either play online or try to make people interested.

That doesn't mean find interested players. Mention it to a couple of people and ask them, "... By the way, would you want to try it?" You may be surprised.

... Make sure it's not an undead heavy module?

Well first off you'll have to get one of the players to play a cleric or somebody that can deal with the undead. I agree with you there.

But padding out the group with NPCs is a perfectly valid approach. You can also encourage the players to take Leadership (isn't CotSQ fairly high level?) to round things out.

So where are you located? You might be surprised where gamers lurk! :)

A little town in Alabama. I wasn't really gonna push for leadership because I would end up playing the character out of combat and in it they would play it. So they wouldn't roleplay at all. I was thinking maybe a fighter+cleric+wizard or maybe go gestalt.

Another ideal would be to let the wizard get a cohort, I wouldn't be as worried if he had the cohort since he usually tries to roleplay the most and wouldn't use it as just another vote in party decisions.
