Players guide to faerun?

The only thing you're losing is any changes from 3.0 to 3.5. If it isn't mentioned its still good to go.

It has a lot more stuff in it, than I thought at first, I'm glad there's some 3.5 conversions of new monsters from the Realms. I'll get it when I get some cash! *must have*
Those are out.
I really wish they would make up their mind about the monster conversions and release a web enhancement soon.

Quez, don't forget that at least some of the regional +2/+2 feats have been beefed up in 3.5. Forester (now Self-Sufficient) grants a bonus to 4 skills (+1 normally, +3 in forests). I imagine that a lot of other regional feats have been tweaked the same way.

More likely, it'll be a new monsters book for $30. :P

No, the updates to the Monsters in MoF will be released as a web update, and any new monsters that were suppose to be in the PGtF are going to show up in other products.

If they wished to have one's home region influence the character's skills, they could have added regional class skills or the like. But the +2/+2 feats seem to be stupid copy/paste. You take the original (being Alertness) and switch skills to meet some regional stereotypes.
We saw those feats in the FRCS, now they return in the Player's Guide, and i don't expect them to be reworked in any way. Those feats are just wasted space for me, who i own the FRCS (as, i guess, most other potential buyers do).

But the loss of Thunderlance weighs much MUCH heavier for me. That's been one of my favorites :)

Actually the whole regional Feat system has been rewritten, PGTF supercedes the FRC in that area
