Player's Guide to Fighters and Barbarians

Nightfall

Sage of the Scarred Lands
Any thoughts and/or comments from people that have this book? Any high points?

How about some input from the authors as well as the editor/developer? What about it Joe? ;)

Well, I just ordered my book from amazon today. I'll let you know in about a week. :) That bieng said, I'm really, really looking forward to this book. My group uses the scared lands as it's primary setting. And since I've had this itch to play a halfling barbarian and prove to my group that it can be done well, I've been counting the days until this book was released.

P.S. Not that my group has a problem with halflings mind you. It just seems like one of our players always plays one of the wee folk and for some reason can't keep his characters alive for more than a session or two. We've left quite a trail of halfling graves behind us.

I'm still reading the Player's Guide. The stuff on making your own merc company is pretty good. And the info on the war schools was great. The feats I'm saving for last.
It's the barbarian part of the book I'm falling in love with. It's a good explaintion of what a barbarian is and their outlook on the world. The stories in that section explain to me how if I want to play a barbarian outlook and insight on the world. S&S did a great job with this guide. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

Good thing they're only half as big as normal graves then.

I mean, imagine the PCs' backs if it was minotaurs you kept losing ... :p

Maybe so, but I'm still interested to see how halfling barbarians in the Scarred Lands can compare to say regular D&D barbarians. I'm willing to bet the players have more fun with them because there's more to them. (But that's just my biased opinion. ;) )

Who publishes Scared Lands? I've got most Scarred Lands products, but I've never heard of Scared Lands

:-)

- who is looking forwards to the Player's Guides when they hit the shores of the Land Dowunder and then find their way inland.

Okay, in the last 48 hours I've been eyeballing the two players guides... Are they similar to WOTC splatbooks, only with new info? I need a high crunch to my books, because I don't have time to read stories and such. From everything I've read, the books sound right, but... I just want to make sure I can add them to my Sword & Fist and Quintessential books...

Thanks
Chris
