Rapier Wit by Derek Becker: Another one I skipped over. No interest. Art was below average.

Modern Magical Items: My d20 Modern experience is limited to a few settings so this was another pass.

You ... you ... you ... skipped my stuff!?!?!?!?

It's weird, this being EN World and all. Figure there would be more people here commenting on the magazine.

I wonder who the buyers of the magazine are? Sadly, none of my friends buy it as they are completely pimpted out on gaming dollars by $22-$40 dollar releases.

I buy the magazine regularly for the wide variety of stuff in it. Supporting a small game company that puts out very interesting (and to my mind, quite often excellent) materials is well worth $5 every three months. I don't think that a four-page campaign journal/story hour would dilute the focus of the magazine too much.

I'd recommend the magazine for anyone who likes to read interesting articles and useful game materials. And unless you're Paypal-phobic, ordering it is dirt easy, even for those of us who are poor.

When we put a few pieces of fiction in Asgard magazine, way back when, practically no one commented, either positive or negative. I think people mostly just didn't care about fiction in a magazine. Dragon only gets away with it because they have big name authors; you rarely see newbie authors anymore in their pages.

I don't know if Kevin "Piratecat" Kulp counts as a big name, but since there has been some interest mentioned here, I'll talk to him and see if maybe he has any suggestions. I personally am not very eager to put in fiction, especially since our first effort (the comic in issue 4) has only received two comments, both negative, but we might come up with an interesting idea.
