playing around with etools

I was just wondering if anyone has played around with the etools database to add their own customized entries.
Basically just wanting to compare notes or find out what things I should watch out for, etc.

You might also want to check out Code Monkey Publishing. They have reached an agreement with WotC to patch the program and add to the database. The database additions will come at a cost, as this is a licensing deal.

Ummm, yeah....

I would suggest that unless you have lots of patience and time to not even bother with tinkering with der e-tools. Even though it has some good potential, you really need to have the time to learn how to put everything in... not to mention the need for Access. Also check out the e-tools group on MSN, I think they took their splatbooks down BUT I am sure that you can get some of the members to e-mail you theirs.

Adding monsters is pretty easy using the program - the one thing that tripped me up the first time was the skills - I added the skill points during the "build race" portion, when I should have just addeed the skills. Once you'v built your race, you'd go into the create monster section to make an "example" of the monster race.
