Playing Shadar-kai

After reading that article one of my players, that was going to be Shadar Kai anyway, wanted to use the spiked chain as his weapon.

Hey, there's even a mini for that:

Too bad DoD's miniature is hella ugly... I don't even store it among my "players" box. I hope this one got a revamp ASAP.

Sorry, Rechan. These are good ideas, but avin suggested modrons, so we're going to start 15-part series of articles. ("Playing Monodrones", "Playing Duodrones"...)

"Go ahead, punk, make my day" :lol::D;):cool::):p:o:heh::D

Peter Lee has said that if Modrons were published anywhere on 4E there would be a Modron miniature.

PS. Any hint of the new MM2 playable races?

Reaper has a few chain wielders.

Reaper Miniatures :: Miniatures

He's good, but a bit sideburn-tastic for a shadar-kai.

Reaper Miniatures :: Miniatures

Huge beard, arabian feel.

Reaper Miniatures :: Miniatures

Really good, female.

Also, speaking as a miniature painter and modeler, a chain is the easiest thing in the world to swap in for a miniature's existing weapon. Use a small chain, like from a cheap necklace, or maybe from a hardware store. Chop off the miniature's existing weapon, and glue in the chain. If you paint the miniature first, you can then have clean metal for the chain, giving it a nice natural look. You should probably avoid painting the chain, because it will rub as the links move against each other.

Reaper minis size is similar to DDM?
Reaper miniatures are 28 to 30 millimeters in scale, and are designed to fit on bases that are approximately one inch square. That's the same size as the grid on a standard D&D map.

I don't know what scale DDM miniatures are, but I assume its similar.
