LOL I can't believe all these years I've been gaming with all my buddies (about half the people I game with love to be rules lawyers, myself included) and NONE of us ever noticed that invisibility clause. That does seem highly powerful for a 2nd level "feat"... well, SA or whatever it is. So, let's have this scenario - rogue just got uncanny dodge. He sneaks into a room, thinking himself quite clever. Unfortunately, there is an invisible assassin in here and the rogue has no clue. So, the assassin lines up his death/sneak attack... oops didn't work, because the rogue has uncanny dodge, and doesn't lose his dex to AC for invisible people OR those faster off the initiative. Is that correct?

Thanks Pirate Cat.

I had noticed the invisibility 'clause' when I went about asking this question here (and you'll notice in my original post that I mention invisibility). This is why I posted here hoping for confirmation from the community. Do you feel my concern now Lasher Dragon? Alarming isn't it? :)

I agree, Hopeless Prodigy, and one of the DMs I play with has howled over never being able to surprise those with Uncanny Dodge for years now LOL

AND He didn't have a clue about the inviso clause, so now he's REALLY HOWLING!!
LMAO

Yeah, I like to play all types of characters, but everytime I have played a fighter, I have gone for 2 levels of barbarian first, then the rest fighter.

My best fighter is a half-ogre, 2 barbarian/11 fighter, +1 spiked mithral fullplate w/med. fortification, a +1 spiked animated large shield, and usually wields a magic fullblade... cannot remember what I had on it though. I think it was +1 keen, and I was thinking of putting brilliant energy or perhaps that ability that lets you pick whether it's flaming, shocking, etc. once per round - think it's from A&E.
