Please help build me a Healer

Touch of Healing from Complete Champion rocks, it's a reserve feat.

Thanks for the suggestion! I always forget about Complete Champion, even though i own it. :uhoh: I will look it up tonight and check if it's allowed in LG.

Thanks!

Hmmm...

You get a lot of spell slots. I'd look at feats (or prestige classes) that allow you to burn spell slots for things you aren't particularly good at. Is there a divine version of arcane strike?

Also, is Book of Exalted Deeds allowed?

Do any of the beastmastery prestige classes give nice bonuses for the Healer's unicorn companion?

Hmmm... Healer/Halfling Outrider? I have no idea if that would work or totally suck.

BoED is not allowed in LG.

I don't think I'll play this character enough to get to the Unicorn companion, much less to add in Beastmaster levels.

I sort of like the Halfling idea. I will explore that combo. And using spell slots for other stuff--a very interesting angle.

Thanks for the suggestions!

If you're pumping CHA, you could invest in Use Magic Device cross class. Burning a feat on Skill Focus (UMD) and retraining it at higher levels would help too. Then just whip out a scroll of Divine Power for important fights and pretend to be a cleric.

Another nifty idea. Thanks!

Are Dragon Shaman allowed in LG?

A healer/dragon shaman might be interesting in a weird sort of way. Probably not optimized for anything in particular... but you'd have some offensive capability with the breath weapon and your auras would benefit from a high Charisma.

Unfortunately, it looks like Dragon Shaman is "NONC" ("Not Open; Not Closed"); I would need to find access to it through a module. A bit risky to base a PC concept on something you are not guaranteed to come across. Too bad--looked like a fun combination, especially at low levels.

Will you be a high enough level to afford a portable hole and a bag of holding. Or possibly an easily breakable jar full of green slime?

Have another character ready "Just in case".

In the FAQ it says that Duskblades can use arcane channelling with any spells they can cast, including divine spells.

No, he'll start at 1st level. Too bad, though--that would be fun! :p
