Definitely take Spell Focus (conjuration) and Augment Summoning. I've had lots of use out of that.

I just have a problem with absolutely wasting a feat with the spell focus (conjuration).

Ah sorry. Forgot the fourth option: Spellslinger.

I'd go for a combination of Natural Spell, Spell Focus& Augment Summoning and PBS& Precise Shot. Human sounds like a good idea since you don't have enough feats and multiclassing doesn't sound like a good idea. PBS helps with Produce Flame shots from afar and increases the rather puny damage.

Your spell selection sounds like Flame Strikes, Call Lightnings and Produce Flame with one Flaming Sphere as second level spell.

Has there been any FAQ/Sage article addressing using Produce Flame in animal form?
Nope... but if monkeys can fling poo, then they can throw flames.

Quadrapeds may not be able to throw, but the melee application is still available.

As for other druid option - check out the [wild ] feats in Complete Divine. Especially "Cheetah Speed" and "Lion Pounce", maybe with "Extra Wild Shape" for more mileage. Terrific charge range (especially with a "Longstrider" spell on ), plus Full Attack at the end of a Charge...
"Air Walk" spell ties in nicely with this.
"Oaken Resilience" Wild Feat has varying milage, dependant very much on the sort of opposition.

The CD spells are also nothing to laugh at - especially "Briarweb", "Brambles", "Spikes" "Decomposition", "Nature's Favour" (if you go down the summoner's path ), "Murderous Mists"

Several other good spells are to be found in FR-material, such as "Gereenfire" in Unapproachable East and stuff from MoF.

If your GM feels ok about it, have a close look at Swords & Sorcery's "Relics and Rituals" Books (I+II), they have several interesting/nasty spells there, although some Scarred Lands stuff may not be applicable.

FFG's "Path of Magic" has two off-beat interesting druid PrCs, which might be interesting, the "Child of the Wood" and the "Daughter of Storms", althouzgh those are written for 3.0 and may need some work by your GM

Could you give a short description of these PrCs? I'm mainly interested in the Daughter of Storms.

Thanks

Can you speak while in Wildshape? I doubt the game will be all that fun if you spend too much time scratching the ground to pass messages to the party.

No. I have been looking for a way to speak while wildshaped and haven't found anything yet.

If you are building a new PC with a point-buy system I would think about sinking all of the points into Wis and dropping Str as you will rarely have to worry about it when you can morph into a high Str critter.
