Please help me -Scabbard of Holding - Item pricing?

How woud you price a magical item that looked like a dagger sheath but could be used to store any one sword up to Large size? Recovering the sword is a Move Equivalent Action as is normally the case.

I know it shouldn't be too expensive (less than a Quiver of Ehlonna), but I find it very hard to find comparable items to match it too.

Man, that's even more limited than a glove of storing... I'd say 500 GP, if that. (with no weapon concealment rules like the ones in d20 modren I don't even see any game rules benifit...) Reduce would most likely be the best spell to require.

Just as a word of caution... do not carry your greatsword concealed in your pants if you expect to run into any antimagic fields...

On a side note, I created a magical scabbard of holding for one of my players who threw longswords as his main attack. Each scabbard could hold 10 longswords.

I don't remember what the cost of the item was... I think I worked it out by weight. Namely, what do 10 longswords weigh, and then I compared that to the weight that a bag of holding can bear, and adjusted the cost based on that.

Ah! Very helpful indeed.

The only in game benefit is weight reduction and the fact that certain cities in my camapign don't allow any weapons other than daggers brought in to the city, the rest have to be handed over at the city gate.

That would come out at 200 gp though, which I find a bit too cheap. I'll go for 400, as a hunch.
