Please help! Where have I read about a "Mace of the Manticore"?

It was a mace that could shoot some of its spikes at your opponents. Or it might not have been a mace, it might have been a morningstar. I don't know. All I know is I read it somewhere, quickly dismissed it and now think that it might be the perfect item for a character in my group. But I forget what other powers it had and all the other details. Does this item sound familiar to anyone?

I realize I could just re-create it myself, and that's just what I may do, but at this point its just drivng me crazy where it was that I read about the bloody thing!!!!

Found it! It was originally printed in Polyhedron Newszine 58, but I found it in the second Encyclpedia Magica.

Warstar of the Manticore

"Several of these morning stars +1 are believed to exist. Upon command, a warstar of the manticore releases 1d6 spikes at any one target. The spikes have the range of a light crossbow and instantly replace themselves. The wielder must make one attack role, adjusted for range, for the volley of spikes. The wilder gains the warstar's +1 attack bonus and any normal bonus for high Dexterity (the warstar's enchantment degates Dexterity penalties). The spikes can be released up to four times a day."

Copyright and all that good stuff. It's not mine, it's someone else's, use it in good faith, blah, blah.

I hope that helped! :)
