And I just gotta say I HATE SPOILER TAGS. It makes the thread MUCH more difficult to read. And the entire point of a board is an EASILY read source of information.

Look, if you don't want spoilers, DON'T GO IN THE THREAD that is clearly labelled with an adventure title.

Now if you feel spoilers are hidden in threads with deceiving titles, then I have some sympathy.

But, if it's a thread about that adventure, DON'T use spoiler tags. Just stay out if you don't want to be spoiled.

There is nothing worse than, say, going into a thread about a movie that is already out, and seeing a screen full of black because everyone is trying to protect the extreme minority of fools who want to see the movie, but have not seen it yet, but are still going into a thread about that movie. We shouldn't do everything to the least common denominator. The thread should be made for the majority of people who participate and read that thread.

I like spoiler tags, because they tell me where the good stuff is. ;)

Seriously, though, I usually gravitate toward the spoilered text first. I hate surprises.

A-MEN.

(Not that I've gone into any threads that I've been told to keep out of... But if I stumble upon spoilers, you can be sure as heck that I'll be reading them.)

*blink*

Really? You'd rather know what's happening in an adventure before you play through it? The plot twists in a movie before you see it?

I mean, not knocking you. Your preference is your preference. It just seems odd to me.

I hate hate hate spoiler tags. I'm lazy and I find them bothersome.

I dont mind warnings in the thread title - easy enough to avoid.

I don't even mind spoilers used for plot elements - I can understand the goal.

I hate posts with 52 spoiler tags, each holding precisely 4 lines of data. The message is no shorter and the hassle factor is greatly increased. If your sig etc is smaller or a similar size than the spoiler tag graphic etc... - leave it free.

What about those "fools" that are curious about the movie and just looking for reviews so they can be sure they won't be wasting the money it'll cost them to see it?
