We discovered an odd combo that comes off stunning attack.

Monk with improved grapple, stunning attack and Choke hold.

Monk attacks with a stunning blow
When the attack connects if he manages to stun the oponent, auto initiate grapple as a free action against the stunned opponent. Use second attack for an autopin vs the stunned opponent.
The opponent won't get a turn before choke hold goes off.

We have seen some pretty big guys go down this way.

I have to say, my Monk character hardly ever has successful stunning attacks. I don't think a few extra per day would make much difference.

At sixth level, with a 16 Wisdom, the save DC for his stun is 16. But a lot of the baddies he faces have Fortitude saves in the +10 range-even if he happens to hit with the declared stun, there's a fairly small chance to stun the thing.

Maybe ki straps would help, of course. :D But I usually use it against enemy spellcasters, so it doesn't come up all that much. Six stun attempts per day should be plenty ...

Hwo often do you actually run out of Stunning Attacks? By the time you have a decent enough BAB to land attacks consistently you have twice as many as you need in most battles.

We just ended a game that went from 1st to 20th level. Not once did the monk run out of stunning attacks. I think this feat is pretty useless. Perhaps for a multi classed monk or in a campaign that is very combat heavy would it be taken.

As a side note, Stunning attack doesn't only have to be taken by a monk. It isn't a terrible thing for a cleric to take. Since, he has to have an open hand to cast many times.

Cleric 10
Wis 18
Feats: Improved Unarmed strike, Stunning fist, Improved stunning fist.

Would be 6 times a day he could deliver a inflict spell with a gauntleted hand dealing a stunning blow DC 19.

But, then again. I have a habit of looking at the other people who may want to use such a feat.
