One thing I've never understood about the feat, is it only when your dropped to 0 hps, or is it 0 or below?

Personally, its not worth it imo considering you need endurance and toughness, which are normally two worthless feats. Iron will is a good feat to take so that prereq is okay, but this is a 4th tier feat, and its just not worth the benefits.

Definitely NOT worth it considering the rather cheap Shirt/Vest in S&F that you can buy that does about the same thing. Maybe it's a headband...regardless, too many prerequisites and not enough punch.

This feat was re-introduced in MotW and the benefit description was changed to "0 or below."

This would be a good feat. . . . if not for the prerequisites. However with both toughness and endurance required, the only character I can think of recommending this feat to is a some kind of Templar/Dwarven Defender.

Otherwise, it's just a capstone for a character concept aptly stated as "I'm going to collect all of the least combat-effective feats possible on one character". . . .

I can see rangers with those prereq's taking the feat. Perhaps a whole group of rangers with this feat. There are some interesting possibilities there. :D

It is an okay feat ... if you already fulfill the prereqs for some good reason.

I agree that it is a sorry feat for one that has so many unexciting prereqs. Iron Will is a decent feat to have on its own merits, but Toughness AND Endurance is quite a hit, even for a pure Fighter.

In my case, I've house ruled toughness so it gives 3hp the first time it is taken, and then it gives 1hp each level thereafter (but can only be taken once). This simulates taking the original Toughness feat every three levels.

it sucks instead of taking it and endurance take toughness 2 more times. Get 6 more hp where you can act unimpared instead of being able to act in your negs for 4 more past the 2 toughness method but only take partial actions.

Then again 3 toughness feats would suck as well, but hey by the tme you have eough fats to take 3 toughness feats maybe you'd go for dwarf toughness, then the next level toughness and the HPs might actually look worth it, but I doubt it.
