‘Poker Face’ Canceled at Peacock, Rian Johnson Shops New Version With Peter Dinklage Taking Over for Natasha Lyonne as Charlie Cale

'Poker Face' has been canceled at Peacock after two seasons. Rian Johnson and Natasha Lyonne are shopping a new version starring Peter Dinklage.

So ... I'm guessing that Lyonne wanted more money, as she's in high demand, Peacock said the ratings didn't justify a new season at the higher cost, and Johnson got Dinklage to agree to a lower fee.

I'm still not going to pay for Peacock and will just hope the show, Lyonne seasons included, appears on Netflix or another more substantive streamer in future.

That is sad, but honestly I think the show was running out of road (as subtly implied in the last episode) and I think I’d like to see Rian Johnson do something else in the same vein if anything.

Speaking of which, Wake Up Dead Man is out in less than two weeks! Definitely looking forward to that.

Yeap, I liked Poker Face but it was getting repetitive and running out of road sounds about right. A fun ride while it lasted.

I’d sign up for Peacock again but they didn’t have the football special and I’m not paying full price for it.
