Political Intrigue and Investigations

Red Viper

First Post
My group tought ourselves how to play D&D and the games we play are quite combat heavy. As the DM i want to branch out and try to learn different aspects of the game but i am unsure as of how to design them. Are there any good modules or Dungeon magazines that have Political intrigue or some sort of investigations in it?

Asmor,

Yes but they do tend to keep slightly different stock piles.

I do know that it was done via Atlas Games. I'm sure there's a PDF of it SOMEWHERE.

Atlas was one of the companies that left when RPGNow & Drivethru merged, IIRC. They went to Steve Jacksons E13. You can find it here. The $15 price is about par for their PDFs.

Ah, I finally found it after some research... It's on Paizo's website.

$16.00 is a little steep for a PDF IMHO... I might ee about having my FLGS order a hard copy for me, though... It does sound like a fantastic book.

Dynasties and Demagogues is good. Certainly it's the only "political" D&D book out there on the market. (Which also tells you something about how little it's tried.) Note however that it's not written for high level D&D play. Some of the assumptions in it seem suited for low to mid level (1-8) as it doesn't consider the ramifications of certain high level D&D spells. Which always have to be considered. Anyway, good luck breaking into politics!
