Poll: Favored class & why?

What is your favorite class?

Mournblade94 the first character I ever played was a half-elf ranger and I almost picked that as my favorite, but I've played a couple of paladins that just really stick with me as being so much fun to play.

Cleric.

I like the how the feel of a cleric changes, depending upon the god/principle worshipped, or the code/rite observed, if any. The rp and function of the class can be wholely differentiated from the other classes, or can overlap significantly with other classes. In this sense, clerics are, for me, a flexible "any/all of the above" choice.

Warrior.

Why?

My favorite is my tiefling infernal warlock. Just leveled to 16. He's been a blast to play... hellish rebuking his way to infamy and fortune.

Wizard.

No other character blossoms like a mage. You have to nourish and protect...tend to them like the delicate wonder they are. And then, just as all your companions are becoming competent masters in their trade, you learn the secrets to the multiverse and manage to stride the boundaries between possible and impossible.

I love sorcerers best followed my wizards. I love magic my first foray into fantasy years ago was through Mary Stewart Arthurian saga the Crystal Cave. I fell in love with Merlin.

I make theme sorcerers. I figure out their personality and pick a magic school that corresponds then I pick the majority of my spells from that school.

I have done specialists wizards before but don't find them as much fun.

I like that with magic you can hurt bad guys but also make things easier for your party. Mages are fragile and need other party members and it is nice to be someone who wants to work as a team.

It has changed much over a long period of time. But nowadays it is a Ranger/Thief. Actually he is a former Thief who became a Ranger.

Why: because in nature he is much like me, so he is easy to role play. I understand him. But mainly because the Ranger is a frontiersman who knows frontier law, and how to covertly and craftily enforce it. And a thief knows the law and how to covertly and craftily avoid it.

When criminal and lawman meet in the middle then you produce either a very, very dangerous criminal, or a fantastically exceptional lawman. Both of whom know craft, guile, and stealth are far better weapons than steel.

To me a good Ranger/Thief doesn't just use weapons, he is a weapon.
