Well, what are you going to do when June rolls around? Are you going to go ahead and buy everything? Are you just going to save yourself the trouble of conversions and spending money and stick with 3e? Download the SRD? I plan on sticking with 3e since I don't feel like spending another $90 and having to convert all my 3e stuff to 3.5e, although I'll probably give it a look by downloading the SRD.

I'm already liking everything they are doing so far for 3.5 so there is no reason for me to not convert. I already have my books preordered from Amazon.com ($20/book). I have no will. :D

A voted "Wait and See" but I'm going to buy the PHB right off, seeing as my first on is falling apart and I might as well spring for the new one. For the other two, though, I'll wait and see. If I like them I'll probably buy them rather than just using the SRD.

See what the reviews/buyers say then perhaps buy a book and see if the changes warrent buying more books.

To be honest, I enjoy the game as it is. I'm not in a hurry to change it at this point; even if the changes are mimimal.

Buy and convert immediately. Everything I hear about the revisions seem extremely good.

I will allow people to keep using 3E definitions for characters, though. That's not a problem - I allow people to use either Monte's Ranger or the 3E ranger; ditto for the Sorcerer in my campaign.

Cheers!

I'm weak... I'm sure I'll end up buying the 3 books outright. But I'll be sure to contrast them against Monte Cooke's Arcana Unearthed and likely end be doing a bit of mixing and matching between 'em. I have to say that I was more than a bit ambivalent towards UA at first: dime-a-dozen anamorphic races, so-so classes but then I saw his latest (Mar. 21st) Design Diary column "Things that Rules Take Away"... I'm sold. :D Exactly the issues I've been ranting about for years!

There are some elements of Modern d20 that we've been adapting as well (class-based AC bonuses, choosing your own class abilities) so it's lookin' like a real hodge-podge on the horizon. But hey, if it works, it works. :D

Cheers,

A'koss!

I'm poor - I've had precisely two paying jobs in the past year, and both of them were shorter than a week by their nature - so I'll just scavenge and interpret. SRD, here I come!

I'll probably buy the books like the little WotC vaccuum that I am; so far, I've liked the info I've received. However, if my will holds at Gencon, then I will probably download via SRD and see what changes there are. If it is significant enough, I might change, but the group needs to decide first.
