[Poly]Pulp Heroes/Backissues

The_Universe

First Post
I love the idea of the Pulp Heroes minigame, but I can't seem to find the Dungeon 90 in which it is contained, anywhere! Can anyone tell me where I can find the Pulp Heroes rules on the 'net, or at least where I can order the backissue!?!?

I'm from South Dakota, and so my localgaming store, which could carry such things....does not exist. HELP ME!

You could maybe try here (I'm not promising anything ;)):

http://www.gamersattic.com/roleplaying/dungeon_magazine.htm

Or

http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dungeon/backissues/90

Or

http://www.dragontrove.com/dungeons.html

Please note that I haven't ordered anything from any of these places before so I can't speak about shipping issues. These are just a few sites that I found after a quick search on Google.

Or if you are really hard-up (I don't recommend this but it is an option :D), you could always look on KaZaA .

Cheers,
Tim

Please don't do this.

Use the other provided links or buy direct from us at www.paizopublishing.com. Paizo is not the Recording Industry of America. I'm already broke enough without worrying about people pirating my magazine.

Thanks,

Erik

Don't worry, Mr. Mona!

This is almost enough to inspire a minor rant, on my part...but first, my thanks for the two of you for finding me a place where I could order it.

File sharing is cool, and all...and there's a certain point where you just CAN'T feel right doing it. I know that I, for one, will happily download something instead of buying it if it's not a quality product (in my case, mostly songs), or something that I just want to listen to to get it out of my head. But, if it's a favorite band or something, isn't there a tiny pang of guilt knowing that you're not helping with their success?

The same holds true for D20 publishers, I think. If we want quality publishing to continue, or to increase, the only real survey we have is the dollar (or the pound, or the Euro, I guess). Publishers live and die on whether or not you'll PAY for something that they have paid someone to make...when we don't, publishers die, and all our wonderful RPGing dies with them. Is that to say that I want us to buy a copy of every product that comes out? NO!

But buy the stuff you like, and I bet our publishers will get the hint that you want more of it.

Hence, I'll be buying a copy of the pulp heroes Polyhedron...it's a way of saying "thanks" and "please sir, may I have another" all in the same breath.

I bought my copy and I've enjoyed every second of it. I've been using the magazine so much that I might have to buy a second copy before the first one falls apart on me.

I did something with one of my Dungeon/Polyhedron magazines which I have never done before... I actually used something from the Dungeon side! :D The Half-Machine template (created by Robert Lee) from Dungeon 91 -- just the thing to spice up my current D&D game (can you say Huge Half-Machine Zombies ;) ).

For the record, I prefer hard copy over electronic version any day. I want to hold the book in my hands while I'm reading it. Reading it on a computer screen isn't the same for me, nor as convient (and more likely to crash my RAM starved computer ;) ). But then again, I've always been a bit of a book collector as my mountain of rpg (and non-rpg) books can a test to. :)

Cheers,
Tim

I wish they could publish the maps from Dungeon in electronic format on their web site or something though. That would rock.

Oh yeah.....pdf is GREAT for maps. maybe have a password in the magazine for the content? That way, you don't habe people just ripping off the maps?

That's a great idea, anyway. I hope Mr. Mona is still reading this...
