Polymorph for cosmetic surgery effects?

Can you use polymorph other to turn people into more attractive versions of themselves? Fat into skinny, flabby into toned, ugly into attractive, old into youthful appearance (not affecting actual age mods)... all with no particular game mechanics, just cosmetic "plastic surgery" type effects. The spell description seems to back me up on this, but I'd like a second opinion.

double post; please delete. Frickin' boards took over a minute to process the submission, LOL, thought I'd not clicked submit or something.

Yes but you would not have a higher Cha or actually be younger. I wonder if it could counter act the physical penalties of old age. I am inclined to think it would but the DM would have to agree.

Only if your physical stats are less than 10, 10, 10. :)

I agree. The spell can "turn you into yourself", thus giving you the physical stats that you should have along with the appearance you should have. The spell can also turn you into an average member of a species, with appearance variable to the caster's whim. This might be very good for, say, an elderly wizard whose physical stats have become very low. However, this would not extend the maximum age or alter Charisma, etc. Nice bit of flavor for an NPC, I think. He just better hope he doesn't get Dispelled.
