Polymorph Question

Careful with MotW! It only applies to wild shape, which now is a lot more powerful than polymorph self. Wild shape gives you all the natural attacks; if you take Multiattack you get all attacks at no penalties.

If a wizard with two attacks due to BAB polymorphs into a troll, they could
a) strike once with each claw
b) strike with one claw and one bite (penalty for using bite?)
or c) strike with the same claw twice (not good for disguise, though)

All three fit in the rules; I'd suggest a for minimal rules conflict.

What about a troll psychic warrior who already has claw/claw/bite, when he is finally able to polymorph into say, a dragon, can he claw/claw/bite? Or can he claw/claw/bite/wing/wing/tail slap?

And more importantly, why?

There are no definite answers in the books. Someone from WotC needs to sit down and write up a HUGE clarification to this spell. Even if it takes 2 full pages, I want to see it. The more I think about Polymorph, the more I hate it ... so many questions pop up ... and many inconsistancies in the description don't help at all.

Some questions I have:

1. Exactly how many and what kind of attacks do you gain? Why dragon? A large octopus is much better for attacking ... you get 8 at your highest BAB, plus 1 bite ... and can constrict with any of those 8.

2. You don't gain (Ex) abilities ... yet constriction and low-light vision are just these. Which other (Ex) abilities do you get ... trample? improved grab? others? I would like to see a COMPLETE list, WotC!

3. Can you polymorph into something you've never seen before? If so, how do you really know it exists?

4. Undead are immune to Polymorph self/other, right? (See p. 10 MM under constitution if you think they're not immune).

5. If I morph into a will-o-wisp, do I get the deflection bonus, and is its Natural Invisibility considered ... err ... natural? And what about its shock attack?

6. How many years will it take to get these answers?
