Polymorph Self, attack routines & new BAB?

Bouncer

First Post
I can't find the new BAB my wizard would have when polymorphed into a troll. I know that I get three attacks (2 claws + 1 bite). But what is my BAB on each attack?. I am playing a wizard level 7 so I have a primary BAB of +3. Strength 23 for a troll gives another +6. So a total of +9. But how is that translated into the 2 claws + 1 Bite attack?

Is that any better way to use Polymorph Self than changing into a troll?

Thanks.

+3. Your BAB doesn't change. (You meant AB, attack bonus.)

No, you don't. According to the Sage, polymorph does not grant the attack routines of the new form.

BAB +3, Str +6, Size -1 = +8 . (You probably want to use a weapon, like a quarterstaff, since the natural weapons of a troll only do 1d6 damage.)

There are plenty of uses, but when it comes to melee the Annis (Hag) is your best bet. Once you have some more levels, the stone giant or the firbolg (MM2) are even better forms.

What Rex said. BAB doesn't change, nor do attack routines.

The Annis is better than the troll. Str 25, +10 natural armor, Large size. Use a weapon (your weapon will grow with the new form). A large quarter staff would do 1d8 + 7 and your attack bonus would be +10 (only one attack).
