I hope no one minds me posting this here. If I have the wrong forum, or am imposing in anyway, please let me know.

We at Porphyry Press have been working on a fantasy RPG. It's not a DnD or D20 game, per se, but you can certainly see the influences quite clearly.

It is by no means complete, but you can check out what we've got so far here.

Please feel free to peruse what we have, and let us know what you think. The one think we ask, however, is that despite the obvious influences, you try to read this as its own game. Trust us, this is by far the easiest option.

For those following...

We've just added the skills chapter to out characters download. It will look familiar to a lot of you, but hopefully you'll read it anyway. We have a lot of under-the-bonnet changes and distinctions regarding how things work.

Next up is a character sheet, some pre-gens and NPCs (so you can have a go at some of those rules) and some ethnicities, talents, advantages, cultural traits and backgrounds, and more.

Also, I've been thinking about making a blog related to the game, discussing some of the aims of the game, as well as setting details, and the reasons behind a lot of our choices. What does everyone (or anyone) think of this? Would you read, and do you have any suggestions, recommendations or requests for topics?

We've just uploaded the first part of a series of significant revisions in our game system, as well as a new rambling explaining the decisions and motivations behind these choices.

We hope you'll take a look at them, we know some of you will like them.

Another update!

We've added the first draft of our adventuring rules on our website. These will be followed by the combat rules and the magic rules. Hopefully quite soon.

I'll also be putting another rambling up in the next few days discussing what we've been working on, and why.

Hey everyone,

Just a quick update.

We've been getting a lot of traffic from this site recently - even though not much has changed on our wordpress webs tie in the last few days.

We'd just like to ensure everyone that we're still working hard, and are hoping to have the next three chapters of our core rules up by the end of the weekend. This will put all of the core rules (those not related to character creation) up together, so we hope you'll keep a look out for that.

In the following two week, we'll be putting the main parts of our character creation rules up - these will still missing a lot of the talents, ethnicities, homelands, cultural traits and advantages (as before), but will give you a very good idea of how the process works.

After that (all going well), we should be uploading a playtest kit - containing some pre-generated characters, a short adventure, a feedback e-form and anything else we think necessary for you to run through a small game, experiencing our system and setting.

We're also working on a new website to replace our wordpress one.

All in all, we're pretty excited about the upcoming weeks, and hope that you will be too.
