What RPGs have a rather detailed and developed post apocalyptic setting based on our real world or a similar version to our world?
And that the setting had at least 1930's or new technology....

Looking for a full setting book(s) with things like cities, NPCs, local history, lore, maybe even metaplots...

And... not Fallout
I bought Apocalypse World already as well

Ashes Without Number is the recent Sine Nomine entry into the genre.

I think Twilight 2000 is likely one of the best candidates for a post-apocalyptic setting based on current events. For a certain value of current. It did come out in the 80s after all. Hell on Earth was a post apocalyptic setting based on an alternate history where the Confederacy won the Civil War and was an independent nation when the bombs fell.

There’s Darwin’s World, which has quite a few books out there for 3e era d20 and Savage Worlds.

And there is Broken Earth which is a single book for Savage Worlds, but which focuses only on the Great Lakes area and gives a lot of story and detail.

Degenesis checks basically all of these boxes.
Set in Europe/North Africa.
Dense Metaplot.
21st century technology (but sparingly available, most people have to deal with less.)
There is a whole 300-page book of NPCs.

I thought gamma world was mostly fantasy?

is twilight 2000 post apoc? I thought it was during ww3 or something?

Is this a setting? I always though the without number books were more chart-generation stuff? (which... is actually fine and useful here, i was just hoping to see what full featured settings were out there)
