Post-game to collaboratively design a new monster: Morrusant

Strength: 15

This grants a good solid +2 to hit and damage, and thus Rend is 2d6 + (1.5 x2) = 2d6 +3.
Each claw is 1d6 +2. Very respectable for a Small creature.

Special Quality 3: Regeneration (Ex): ______ take normal damage from silvered weapons, [opposite Good/Evil aligned] weapons, and spells or effects with the [opposite Good/Evil alignment] descriptor.

_________ that loses a piece of its body regrows it in 2d6x10 minutes. Holding the severed member against the stump enables it to reattach instantly.

Constitution: 12

Above average, and plenty when combined with regeneration. ________ are hard magical vermin to exterminate!

Can I make a semi-two parter? Poisonous tail stinger

  • Secondary natural attack: Sting (1d3+1, plus poison)
  • Poison (Ex): Injury, Fortitude DC (11+1/2 HD), initial and secondary damage 2d4 Dex. The save DC is Constitution-based.

I'm starting to see this guy as a 4-clawed mutant scorpion thing...

This guy might be getting a bit too bad-ass. Even though he's dexterous with his claws and stinger, let's slow him down a bit:

Speed: 20 ft. (4 squares)

Feat #2: Multiattack

I like that tail stinger - gives the _______ a downright terrifying option. Many players are hardly worried about hit point damage, but go after their Dex, and they wail. :)

Intelligence 11
this little guy might be vermin but he isn't dumb and with his dexterity and hard hitting he could be a deadly little marauder

ps that leaves Wisdom 9 (so Will -1) and not very observant (despite his tremorsense)

Natural armor: +6 (exoskeleton)

Good hard exoskeleton, allows for a lot of punishment absorption. Yes, it slows you down.. but 20' isn't too bad. (Kind of like the plate mail of the insect world.)

I was looking at the Mantis for inspiration here - elegant, deadly.

-This is Vermin that got improved somehow - got that mindlessness problem tidied up. 11 Intelligence is a whole lot for an insect, so I'm guessing that whoever made these was overrun by them.

(Edited to amend my confusion of template - Vermin, getting improved like a Magical Animal)

Not so fast on the ground, but the Giant Rat Spider can climb:

The Giant Rat Spider receives a +8 racial bonus on Climb checks and can always take 10 on a climb check, even in combat.
