[Post-GenCon] What upcoming d20 releases are you looking forward to?

There was a rumor that Q. Monk was there as well, but I never saw it.

It was there.

I bought the 3rd(?) to last copy.

They brought only 25 copies with them, as the shipping costs were high. Consequently, they sold out within hours of the show opening.

Overall, I'm exceptionally happy with QM, though there are a couple sentences I would rewrite if I could press the rewind button (as there always are), and 1 case of a feat being removed without all references to it being excised.

Still, that's just minor.

I'm VERY pleased with how well the artists captured the sense of movement that is absolutely essential in martial arts related artwork. Though I am hard pressed and reluctant to pick a favorite, off the top of my head my favorite piece is the one that accompanies the "Wanderer" character concept. Wonderfully moody and serene.

I'm anxious to hear how people like the book.

Patrick Y.

PS: The removed feat is Circle Boxing, a feat based off the internal art Bagua Xang's footwork patterns. It allowed a monk to trade movement for bonuses to AC each round.

Impromptu Erratta: The 2nd level bonus feat of the Ancestor's Illlusion school is still listed as Circle Boxing. Instead, I suggest substituting Dodge as the new bonus feat, as it both adequately covers the defensive nature of the school and helps fulfill the requirements for at least 1 feat that was designed with them in mind.

Lots of fun higher CR monsters, some new, some old. Numerous undead and fey. Don't remember the proper names for most of the monsters they showed us, but iirc, they included the following:

-Spellweaver from FR which casts up to 6 spells per round
-Yakfolk
-an undead consisting of frustrated warrior spirits that died in inconsequential battles that takes the form of a cloud of bladed weapons--essentially a vegematic for PC
-some sort of megaooze
-Thri-Kreen rebuilt as 2 HD creatures to be more suitable as PCs
-a death knight template
-a number of demons, devils, and celestials
-the mountain giant
-a template for turning standard animals into war animals (I can already see my kobolds training their dire war weasels) :D
-banshees
-half golems

The running commentary by the developers at the presentation was pretty funny too, particularly James Wyatt's glee as he read off various creature stats.

-Spellweavers - sweet! Sweet sweet sweet!
-That blade undead thing was, I believe, originally from the Planescape setting. From Acheron, if I recall correctly.
-Thri-Kreen!! How could I have forgotten! I love these guys!
-Banshees! Ditto!

Can't wait for the MM2! Also looking forward to Fiend Folio and the Book of Vile Darkness! Non-WotC: Fields of Blood, Book of Hallowed Might, and Romance of the Five Planets are all high on my list!

Personally while I'm very excited about the SL stuff, R&R2 to me is something I've been waiting around for a while now. It REALLY sounds excellent.

But definately a lot of good stuff is out there, and my list looks lot like Psion's and Fayderth. I'd just drop the Plots and Poisons, Farscape, and the Quin books. Other than that it looks pretty much like that. ;) Oh and of course Book of the Righteous.

If I'm reading this right, you wrote the book, but you still had to buy a copy - depleting the stock of the precious few they were able to bring over to sell at one of the world's largest gaming cons? Seems to me that Mongoose needs some remedial business skill training. Please correct me if I've misunderstood something.
